Once upon a time, the days following Thanksgiving were meant to relax, reflect on the blessings of life and eat leftover turkey. Oh, how the times have changed! Nowadays, shoppers can look forward to (or dread) the craziest shopping day of the year after their holiday — Black Friday.
In the years that followed, other unofficial holidays have come about, including Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and my personal favorite, Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a movement to share your time, money or both to causes that are important to you in order to kick off the holiday season with good intent. The warm, fuzzy feeling you get afterwards is just an added perk!
