Halloween might just be my favorite holiday. I love the costume parties, the trick-or-treaters, the haunted hayrides, the scary stories and seeing the whole town decked out with the clever and creative decorations. Just today, I walked past a yard that had been transformed into a graveyard, complete with tombstones, cobwebs and a flying ghost. Later on, I saw a lady at the grocery store wearing a hat decorated with (what I hope were) plastic spiders and bats.
I love how Halloween brings out a sense of playfulness and imagination in people. It lets us express ourselves and connect with the joy and fun that Halloween represented when we were children.
