Among the many collectible dollar coin series from the U.S. Mint, the Presidential Dollar series, introduced in 2007, stood out for its historical significance and appeal to collectors. The Presidential Dollar series was created to honor U.S. Presidents, highlighting their contributions to the nation. In addition to these coins, there are also collectible $2 bills and paper banknotes available honoring the U.S. Presidents, also available at The Bradford Exchange website.
But it this series U.S. Mint series is now complete, and new coins are only issued when a former President dies. The most recent issue was for George H.W. Bush in 2018 and a new issue honoring President Jimmy Carter is expected. But many new collectors have found a full collection of the U.S. Mint coins difficult to come by and a void has been left in the collector space for collections honoring our U.S. Presidents.
