Christmas in July: 2016 Holiday Decor Preview

2016 Holiday Decor Preview

We’ve been experiencing extremely high temperatures all over the country these past few weeks, so naturally, everyone’s mind is on ice-cold drinks and shade from the blistering sun. I’m trying to beat the heat by setting my sights on jingle bells and snow! I’m thinking that if I listen to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” enough, I’ll start to believe it.

Take a break from the rising temperatures and fill your spirit with some Christmas cheer with this list of my top 5 holiday decor items from The Bradford Exchange Online. We offer a wonderful selection of Christmas décor, and now is the ideal time to start thinking about what treasures would make your holiday extra merry this year. Remember, the early elf catches the cookie!

1. Ultimate Disney Wondrous Christmas Pre-Lit Christmas Tree

Ultimate Disney Wondrous Christmas Pre-Lit Christmas Tree

What makes Christmas more magical? If you ask me, it’s adding some Disney delight to your decor! It takes just three steps and a few seconds to decorate for the holidays with this nearly 6-1/2 foot Christmas tree. It’s pre-lit with over 200 clear mini-lights and pre-decorated with 46 non-breakable metallic ornaments. And best of all, 4 satiny ribbons feature over 65 beloved Disney characters for an enchanting holiday season!

2. Winter’s Beautiful Blessings Tabletop Tree

Winter's Beautiful Blessings Tabletop Tree

A little birdie told me (and I agree) that this is the perfect way to bring the beauty of wintertime indoors. Four hand-cast and hand-painted cardinal sculptures are nestled within the festive green branches of this pre-lit tabletop tree and the stunning cardinal artwork of acclaimed artist Joseph Hautman graces the base for a truly gorgeous presentation! I love that it has a 5-hour timer, so you don’t have to worry about it as you take a long winter’s nap.

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas Town Cuckoo Clock

The Nightmare Before Christmas Town Cuckoo Clock

What’s this? What’s this? It’s a cuckoo clock celebrating “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” with lights, music and motion! I think this timely tribute is such a spook-tacular way to add some Christmas charm to your home, starring Jack Skellington in his Santa disguise, Lock, Shock and Barrel, Santa’s elves and some Halloween Town toys in a festive and fully-sculptural scene.

4. Thomas Kinkade Wonderland Express Christmas Tree

Thomas Kinkade Wonderland Express Christmas Tree

This Collectibles Market First has it all in my book — festive scenes inspired by the artistry of Thomas Kinkade, music, motion and lights! This sculptural tree boasts 12 brilliantly illuminated buildings, over 2 dozen handcrafted figures, 3 moving trains and Santa’s sleigh even “flies” around the star. Plus, you’re sure to be humming along as it plays a medley of 8 beloved Christmas carols!

5. Thomas Kinkade Crystal Snowman Figurine

Thomas Kinkade Crystal Snowman Figurine

Just like the Christmas tree listed in number 4 on my list, this jolly fellow captures the merriment of Thomas Kinkade’s holiday artistry in an unforgettable way. A fully-sculpted village scene illuminates from within the tummy of the faceted crystal snowman and a festive train circles around the base to create a treasure that’s perfect to display all winter long. It’s snow cute!

I hope this list filled you with enough Christmas spirit to keep you cool the rest of the summer! Remember that it’s best to shop early for the best selection of Christmas decorations, and so that you can have it in your home and ready to display by the time you’re ready to sip hot cocoa by the fireplace.

Did something festive from this list catch your eye? Let me know in the comments below! Also, if you have a favorite Christmas decoration that you bring out every year, I’d love to hear about it as well. Thanks for reading and please share this post to share some Christmas in July cheer!
